James "Jimmy" Lane, age 70 of Knoxville Tennessee passed away at his home with peace and grace on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy was an avid Nascar fan! He was Blessed with abundant skills of carpentry. Jimmy owned and operated along with his father Lane & Lane Construction Company. He then continued the family business as James W. Lane Construction Company after his fathers passing. He could do anything he set his mind to. Jimmy will be remembered by all for his willingness to help others and that beautiful smile. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Christina Lane; sister Janet Lane; grandparents Horace and Ella Skeen and Joe and Ida Lane; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Jimmy is survived by his companion Jimmie Catherine Lane; beautiful daughters and sons in laws, Angie (Nathan) Yarbrough and Tammy (Eric) Hamby; granddaughter Alysen Hancock; grandson Lucas Hamby; great grandson Aston Dubose; sister and brother in law, Joyce (Stan) Reno; nephews, Robert (Elisha) Reno, David (Sarah) Reno; great nephew, Jackson (Jack) Reno; uncle, Bill (Ruth Ann) Berrier; aunts Elizabeth Johnson, Sue Loveday, Marvin Lane and Louise Lane; special friend/cousin, Clarence (Dick) and Wilma Byrd. Family and friends will meet Saturday, September 11, 2021, for a 3:00 PM, graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery 4500 Woodlawn Pike Knoxville, TN 37920.
