Jason E. Kuhn 44, passed away September 12, 2021. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on November 28, 1976. At the age of seventeen, Jason graduated from the Naples Fire Academy as the youngest cadet to ever attend. Jason’s next quest was to attend college in Fort Walton Beach with hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps as a Chiropractor. While attending college he worked at his father’s Chiropractic Practice where he met the love of his life “Dusty”. The two then decided to build a general construction company which was very successful until 2008. His daughter, who is a freshman at the University of Alabama, was asked by her roommate, “just what does your dad do for a living” and her reply was “He’s a Jack of All Trades” and “Master of Them All”. Vance, Jason’s son stood up and stated “Dad always told me- son, drive fast and take chances and take life to heart but first and foremost, strive to be a better man than I, and that truly sums up the man Jason Kuhn. Jason is survived by his wife Dusty D. Kuhn; daughter, Mekenzie Kuhn; son, Vance Kuhn; father-in-law, John W. Troy and his wife, Mary; mother-in-law, Brandy Troy; step-mother, Marci and sister, Jessica. Jason is preceded in death by his father, Laurence W. Kuhn. Family and friends will celebrate Jason’s life from 5-7 pm Thursday at Weaver Funeral Home. Please dress casual. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made for the children's education at VIMO Dusty-Kuhn. www.weaverfuneralservices.com.

My son was truly amazing. He was so smart and could do everything…well. I always loved him and respected his amazing love for his wife, Dusty and My Granddaughter, Mekenzie and my Grandson, Vance. He was the most dedicated man to his family I have ever known. I miss him, I am proud of him and his accomplishments and pray for My daughter-in-law and Grandchildren. I wish peace and happiness for all.

When I was 16 and came down to Florida to visit my Cousins and Aunt, Jason greeted me with a hand made "Welcome" banner. Jason climbed up the coconut tree next to their garage, chopped down coconuts, climb down and proceeded to open the coconuts with his machete. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and joy in doing something for me was Jason! This was my first time in a tropical zone, he saw I was fascinated with coconut trees and he wanted to share the experience of a coconut right off the tree. Jason had a tender heart and generous spirit! It showed in small things as a "Welcome" banner and going through a lot of work for a taste of the tropics! I never forgot this! I will never forget you Jason! Your Cousin, Krista

I only knew him a short time, but the amount of knowledge I gained from talking with him was amazing. I am so sorry that he couldn't have taught me more.. Rest easy my friend.
