Jay Rogers Daniel Jr.

Daniel, Jr., Jay “Joey” Rogers, age 57, of Knoxville, passed away March 7, 2014 at UT Hospital. Jay was a 1974 graduate of Halls High School and served in the United Stated Army in the 101st Airborne Division. Jay was retired from the Knox County Sheriff’s Department. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Preceded in death by father, Jay Rogers Daniel, Sr. and Mother, Patsy Ina Berry; Son Christopher Jay Daniel; Granddaughter Emily Mikaylah Houser. Survivors, Daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Matthew Houser; Granddaughters; Bethany and Grace Houser; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Darlene Berry. Many other family and friends and special pups Miranda and Sassy. Funeral 7pm Monday, March 10, 2014, Berry Chapel. Rev. Scott Thomas officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 10am on Tuesday to proceed to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway for an 11:30 am graveside service with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Lee Ward, John Kirkendol, Greg Pinkston, Jerry Coffey, Brian Taft, and Greg Roberts. The family will receive friends 5-7 Monday, March 10, 2014, at Berry Funeral Home.
