Jeff loved life and loved people. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever he went. Known as “the life of the party,” Jeff didn’t just attend the party—he was the party. His laughter, energy, and genuine spirit filled every room and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Jeff found great joy in his career as a DJ, a passion that allowed him to travel to many states sharing music, celebration, and unforgettable moments with countless people. Music was more than a job for him—it was a way to connect, uplift, and bring people together.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennifer Mitchell; his stepmother, Marjorie Mitchell; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his loving family: mother, Rebecca Dykes; father, Cecil Mitchell; sister, Stephanie (Chris) Seaver; stepbrother, Bryan Pillion; niece, Chloe (Carson) Kirby; nephew, Noah Seaver; special family member, Abigail Hamilton; best friend, Michael Henningson; and many extended family members whom he loved deeply and held close to his heart.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the parlors of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920.
