Jerry Mack Rogers age 79 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017. Jerry grew up in the Ridgedale Community and attended Ridgedale Baptist Church. He graduated from Powell High School in 1957 where he played all sports and loved Tennessee football. He was truly a Vol for Life. He volunteered to serve his country and joined the army in 1959. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 102. Jerry was a loving husband and father. Preceded in death by his parents, Grace and N. W. Rogers; sisters, Ruth Branam and Helen Ball; brother, Carl Rogers. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Hankins Rogers; daughters, Pamela and Jennifer Rogers; sister, Wanda Ailor of Huntsville, AL and several loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 pm Friday at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery at Whispering Waters for a 1 pm graveside service. Condolences may be left at www.weaverfuneralservices.com.
