Long, Jesse H. Sr., age 85, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2011. He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. He retired from TVA as an Accounting Supervisor. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years of marriage, Kathyrn Long; daughter, Shirley Sear; son, Jesse Long, Jr. and partner, Jerry Price; son, Johnny Long and wife Tia; daughter Carol Morrissey and husband, Gary; grandchildren: Zachary Sear, Shana Adjetey, Sara Ellis, Samantha Long, Mia Strong, Cayley Needham, Leah Sweat, Jennifer Walters, Nick Morrissey, and Kate Morrissey; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Duke; and extended family in Chattanooga. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Wednesday at 10:00 AM for graveside services, Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Full military honors will be presented at the graveside service.
