Jewell Elizabeth Fine Langley, 89, most recently of Loudon and long-time resident of Powell, TN, entered into larger life at her home on November 12, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Knox County on October 7, 1928, she was the daughter of Harold and Grace Fine. She married David Lee Langley on December 1, 1951. She is survived by her three children, Sharon Oats and husband Smokey of Dandridge, TN; Donna Zukowski and special friend Kyle Burnette of Loudon, TN; and Tony Langley and wife Mitzi of Decatur, AL. Jewell also cherished her time with her six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and special friend Dewey Tarver. Jewell would want folks to know that, finally, her work here is done. She received the call, an offer she couldn’t refuse. The invitation is to a party with David and family she hasn’t seen for a long time. Her new home is a wonderful dwelling with delicious banquets and plenty of time to tell stories, laugh, bake, and sing. Jewell’s family asks that in lieu of sending flowers, you spend time with loved ones and make a toast to enduring friendships. Donations can be made to the Oats-Langley Scholarship Fund, Trinity Episcopal School, 750 E. 9th St., Charlotte, NC 28202 or to Bells Campground United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1311, Powell, TN 37849. The family will receive friends 10-11 am Thursday at Bells Campground United Methodist Church with the service to follow at 11 am. The burial will follow in Bells Campground Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.weaverfuneralservices.com. Arrangements under the direction of Weaver Funeral Home, Knoxville, TN.
