Joe B. Forsythe age 78 of Knoxville, passed away April 26, 2023 after a long-term illness. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a member of the Karns community and a graduate of Karns High School. Preceded in death by parents, David and Georgia Forsythe; brother, Harry Forsythe; sister, Deloris Dyer. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Phyllis; son, Stanley Forsythe; daughter, Sonya (Mike) Shafer; grandchildren, Jordan, Savannah, Bethany, Austin, Audrianna and Jade; 5 great- grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Wanda) Forsythe and J.D. (Joyce) Forsythe; sisters, Phyllis (Jim) Fultz and Carolyn (Gene) Lamb; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Monday at Weaver Funeral Home; Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Tuesday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for an 11 am graveside service.
