Carroll, John, went home to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, October 6, 2011. John was an active member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a local author. John was preceded in death by parents; brothers; and sister. He is survived by wife of 37 years, Bonnie (Stump) Carroll; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Joe Manes; grandchildren, Ashley and Allison Manes; sister, Patricia Chisom; nephews, David Cupp and Shon Chisom; brother-in-law, CC and wife, Sue Stump; aunt, Julia Harless; uncle, Mike Howes and wife, Mary.
