Johnny A. Jackson, age 85, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2022 at his home. He was a Christian. He retired from Tennessee Farmers Co-Op with 42 years of service. He started in the fertilizer plant then moved to Security. Johnny always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. He would help anyone in need expecting nothing in return. His hobbies included painting and playing a variety of musical instruments. He had a terrific sense of humor. He once passed out business cards saying "Jack of all trades and master of none." Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Fleta Moneymaker Jackson and six siblings. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Barbara Wilson Jackson; daughter Deborah Chandler and husband Don of Walland; grandson Dorian Holder and wife Ayuimi and great-granddaughter Megumi of Osaka, Japan; great-grandson Jackson Boyd of Kentucky; sister Faye Jackson of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family members. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to UT Hospice for their care and compassion. A private graveside service for Johnny will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Berry Highland South Cemetery officiated by his nephew Rev. Tom King.
