Judith "Judy" G Padoll

Judy was preceded in death by her mother Jennie Farrell Yates Fly; her father Wilber Yates; step father Edward Fly and many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Padoll; daughter Tamera Thatcher; son Carl “Buzzy” Ruleman; grandchildren Dillon Thatcher, Carleigh Ruleman Hill, Patrick “PJ” Ruleman; step daughters Amy Padoll Certanni and Rachel Padoll Morris Gentsch; and sister Euna Juanita Yates.

She was a loving and loved Nana to Madeline Morris, Abigail Morris, Charlette Gentsch, Salvatore Centanni, Antoinette Centanni, Dominic Centanni and Francesca Centanni.

Judy was born in Washington, DC and grew up in College Park, MD. She married and raised her children in southern Maryland. She later moved to Florida to be near her mother, step father and sister.

She was employed by the Gainesville Housing Authority for over 20 years as the System Administrator. This is where she met her husband Bill, as he was there to sell a new computer to her employer. Judy married Bill and lived in Cape Coral, FL from 2003 to 2016. It was then they moved to Knoxville, TN, where she was happy and enjoyed the area until her illness.

She was a smart, funny, witty and entertaining woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Judy will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Magnolia Chapel at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. A graveside will occur Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Gov. John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920.
