Julie Beth Bauman

Julie Beth McGill Bauman, age 41, of West Knoxville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Maryville, TN, Julie moved to Birmingham, AL when she was a freshman in high school. She graduated from University of Montevallo with a degree in Child and Family Studies and then received a Master’s Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Marriage and Family Therapy. Julie was the Foster Care Supervisor with Youth Villages and because of her and Nate’s love for foster children, adopted three children through the foster system. Julie served on the staffs of West Knoxville Baptist, Edgewater in New Orleans and most recently at Northstar Church where she worked in the Next Gen ministry. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl “Bucky” McGill, Jr.; Mamaw, Dorothy McGill and grandparents, Vasco and Bessie Lawson. Julie is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Nate Bauman; children, Noah (3), Joshua (3) and Emma (2); mother and step-father, Faye and Craig Bush; step-mother, Shirley Pritchard; Sister and brother-in-law, Amy and James Willard and brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Megan McGill; sister-in-law, Wendi and husband Gordon; brother-in-law, Andrew Bauman and wife Christy; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Very special thanks to all our friends through the years and our Northstar family for your love and support. The family will receive friends 4pm – 6pm Sunday, April 24 at Northstar Church, 9929 Sherrill Blvd Knoxville, TN 37932 with a memorial service celebrating and honoring her life to follow at 6pm. Rev.
