Karen was born in Florida on May 8, 1966. She graduated from Karns High School and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Bettye Caruthers, and sister-in-law, Nell Caruthers. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Rick Overton; nephews, Robert Overton and Joshua Overton; niece, Rachael Overton; brother, Jesse Caruthers; nieces, Jackie Roberts and Misti Smith, and many extended family members.
