Godfrey, Kenneth Franklin, age 72, of South Knoxville, went home to Heaven on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Mr. Godfrey served in the United States Navy and was a proud member of South Knoxville Masonic Lodge #769 F&AM. He retired from Sears Department Store. Preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Elsie Godfrey; sisters, Mary O’Conner, Doris Whittle, Linda Gregory, Lois Godfrey and Jean Godfrey. Mr. Godfrey is survived by his wife, Oneida Godfrey; daughter and son-in-law, Mercedes and David Montgomery; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Steve Bohanan; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jennilynn Godfrey; grandchildren, Evan, Adam, Noah, Caleb, Nathan and Jacob; brother, Carl E. Godfrey. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. A Masonic ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service. Family and friends will meet Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery for a graveside service.
