Kenneth Edward “Ken” Webb was born on Mother's Day May 8, 1932 in Knoxville, TN and died Oct 27, 2018 at Ben Atchley Veterans Home in Knoxville, TN. Mr. Webb served in the USMC Reserve from 1949-1950. He then enlisted in the USAF and served from 1950 to 1971 receiving two Commendations for Service and one Unit Citation for his service during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He joined the Tennessee Defense Force in 1986, attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel. After his military service, he worked for a short time at the University of Tennessee Safety and Security Department and the USPS as a mail carrier. He then began working as a Engineering Associate for TVA. He retired from TVA after 16 years employment. He enjoyed volunteering with Stan Brock and the other volunteers through Remote Area Medical. He attended many missions before failing health prevented his further service. Mr. Webb was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Sevier County Masonic Lodge 334 F. & A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Alma (DeArmond) Webb; and sister, Betty Jane Webb. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Jean (Rosenbalm) Webb; three daughters, Teresa Webb-Martin (Bill), Cheryl Thomas Ezell (Kent), and Johnnie Fish (Jim); seven grandchildren, Andrea Krohn (Sam) of Salisbury NC, Marc Thomas (Sheena) of Mt. Holly, NC, Mindy Kaplan (Brian) of Atlanta, GA, David Fish (Jenna) of Knoxville, TN, William Martin (Sarah) of Maryville, TN, Kayla Littrell (David) of Irwin, TN, and Bryana Ezell of Alcoa, TN; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday November 1, 2018 at Berry's Chapel, 3704 Chapman Highway. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 am Friday, November 2, 2018 at East Tennessee State Veterans’ Cemetery, Gov. John Sevier Hwy.
