Larry Lane Thomas, age 70, of Knoxville, TN. After battling stage 4 lung cancer for 8 years, has passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. Larry was an avid UT Football fan. He loved fishing, camping, playing POGO on the computer and watching politics. Larry loved God, his children, grandchildren, adored his great grandson Madox and loved his dog. He would give you the shirt off his back.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Laurel Thomas, and Alma Cleo Payne Thomas; In-Laws, Leroy and Viola Carver.
He is survived by his wife; of 52 years, Gina Marie Thomas; children, Samuel Thomas, Francis (Stephen) Hamilton and Christina Thomas; grandchildren, Shawn (Sydney) Hamilton, Kristin (Austin) Ingram, Little Frances Thomas and Joseph Thomas; great grandson, Madox Ingram; brother, Wendall Wayne Thomas, family friends Johnny Ray and Carol Stout; and friend of many years, Lillie Jones. A celebration of Larry's life will be 5:00pm on April 13th at Catch the Fire Knoxville.
