Mary "Libby" Hancock, age 71, of Seymour, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Libby is preceded in death by her mother Lucy Garrett; father James Lois Reed; step father Robert Garrett; son Hal Whaley; brothers James Reed and Jack Reed. She is survived by her loving husband Freddie Hancock; son Robert (Kathy) Whaley; daughter Lisa Lane; grandchildren Rosalie Lane, Tyler Ayers, Summer Whaley, and Chloe Dunlap; great grandchildren Nixon Ayers, Luna Ayers and Ryland Whaley.
A visitation for Libby will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm in the Magnolia Chapel at Berry Highland South Funeral Home 9010 E. Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 1:00pm at Berry Highland South cemetery in The Garden of Peace.
