Lowell W. Ramsey

Ramsey, Lowell Wallace, age 81, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 18, 2014 peacefully at home. Member of Inskip Baptist Church. Former Pastor of Hollywood Hills Baptist Church. Prior to that, served as Pastor of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church in South Carolina, and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He was a loving father, grandfather, and a devoted husband for 63 years.

Preceded in death by his loving parents, Leroy and Pauline Ramsey; sister, “Sis” Baker; loving daughter, Cynthia “C.V.” Gordon. Survived by loving and faithful wife, Dorothy “Dot” Ramsey; son, Chuck Ramsey; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Doug Dixon; and the joy of his life, grandchildren, Courtney, Blair, Shea, Alicia, Nick, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Aaron, Baylor, Ava ; sister, Rhonda Costner; sister and brother-in-law Vicki and Rusty Clark; numerous nieces, nephews, and devoted family and friends.

Family will receive friends at Weaver Funeral Home, Friday, 5-7pm; funeral service to follow at 7pm, Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery 11:45am Saturday, for 12 Noon interment.
