
Margaret (Margie) Grizzell, age 76, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at home after a brief struggle with cancer. She was of the Baptist faith. Margie was retired from the Knox County Property Assessor’s Office and a previous member of the Metropolitan Planning Commission. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Reesie Browning; brothers, Charles, Alfred, Bill, and John Browning; sisters, Marjorie Browning, Helen Smith, Alma Baker, Evelyn Anderson, and Thelma (Punchie) Cameron. Margie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 21 years, Dale Grizzell; children, Debbie and husband, Patrick Zielinski of Chicago, Ilinois; and Gordy and wife Becky Ervin of Seymour; step-children, Andy and wife Jeanni Grizzell of Seymour; and Elizabeth and husband Paul Steen of California; grandchildren, Jacob and Rebekah Ervin; Courtney Ervin and fiancée James Barker, Jr.; Kasey Grizzell; Bronte Steen; and Kiersten Steen; brothers, Robert (Zero) and wife, Jane Browning; Gordon and wife Betty Browning; and Leo (Peewee) and wife Liz Browning; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Scherry Cusick. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Braden Cemetery in Union County on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am for graveside services, Rev. Tom King officiating.
