Marie Edna Arterburn Wilson

WILSON, MARIE ARTERBURN - age 81 went home to with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 19, 2011. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member and teacher at Grace Baptist Church. She was retired as research librarian from X-10, ORNL. Preceded in death by parents, Hascal and Mildred Arterburn; sister, Patsy Flory; and brothers, Edward Arterburn and Lester Arterburn. Survived by devoted husband of 62 years, and caregiver Ralph E. Wilson; daughter and son in law, Cindy and Gary Underwood; son and daughter in law, Ralph and Patti Wilson; grandchildren, Jeremy and wife, Holly, Matt, Kevin, and Abbie Underwood, Alex, Jordan and Aaron Wilson. Marie loved her family, church, teaching Sunday school, gardening, needle point and sewing. She was a wonderful, loving Christian who always saw and brought out the best in people. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Weaver Funeral Home with chapel services to follow at 8 p.m. Rev. Alford Royer officiating. Graveside services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, Scottsville, KY at 11 a.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Generation Building Fund at Grace Baptist Church or Alzheimer's Association . Weaver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
