Mark J. Caldwell, age 70 of Knoxville, passed away January 30, 2026. Mark was born at Keesler Air Force Bace in Biloxi, MS; so the military ran true for him the day he was born. He was a veteran of the Navy and served on the USS Midway.
Mark spent 14 years in Alaska and during that time he became a good amateur photographer and enjoyed painting, especially landscapes.
His warm smile and clever wit always brightened the room wherever he went.
Mark was preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Helen Caldwell, and sister, Cherie DuPertuis.
He is survived by his siblings, Amy Bokenkamp, Jay (Debbie) Caldwell, Kevin (Cheryl) Caldwell, and Jonathan Caldwell. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
