It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Martelia "Tillie" Cook Ketner, aged 87, who passed away on November 15, 2025. Born on September 23, 1938, Martelia was a resident of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee.
Tillie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and Christian woman with deep faith. She was a woman whose warmth, strength, and quiet wisdom shaped the lives of everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
Preceded in death by her parents, George and Sara Cook; brother, Ronald Cook; sister, Hazel Greene (Ralph); and daughter, Kimberly Anne Walker.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Kenneth "Earl" Ketner; son, Jeff Ketner; grandchildren: Jason Ketner, Madison Ketner and Kaylee Ketner; brother, Bill Cook; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at UT Medical Center for their service, care and comfort. May Martelia rest in peace, forever remembered, and forever loved.
Family and friends will meet Friday, November 21, 2025 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 812 East Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM graveside service.
