Mary Ellen Bowling

Mary was born in Huntington, WV on October 13th, 1940. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Tennessee with a Master’s Degree in Public Health.

Mary worked as a health related boards investigator for the state of Tennessee before retiring.

Mary is survived by her brother, Terry Lawrence (Brenda) of White House, Tn. Her daughter, Suzanne Lowery of Claxton, Tn. Her son Mark Bowling (Janus) of Charlestown, Indiana. Six grandchildren, John Vitalo, Michael Lowery (Kaylyn), Emily Lowery, JT Lowery, Devin Bowling & Kate Bowling. Great Grandchildren Jaymas Lowery & Kinsley Thurman. Beloved cousin Drexel Clark (Sue) of Sumterville, Florida. Nephew John Lawrence (Rita) of Talbot, Tn. Family Friends, Helen Pardue, Stephanie Hunter (Ivan), and Katie Layton.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents John Leonard Lawrence, Jr., and Garnet Lawrence. Family will receive friends Monday in Weaver’s chapel from 12-1 pm with service to follow at 1 pm. We will then proceed to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for entombment.
