Mary Jane Brown age 85 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. Member of Elk Fork Baptist Church. Born June 2, 1932, she was the daughter of Everett and Emma Hicks Cross. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown, Jr.; brothers, Marley and Billy Cross; sister, Wilma Cross Collins. She is survived by her son, Joel Brown and wife, Debbie of Evensville, TN and daughter, Ramona Brown of Knoxville; granddaughter, Jamie Provenza and husband, Frank; great-grandson, Cody Witt, as well as other family members; beloved pet, Precious. The family will receive friends 11am-1pm Monday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 1 pm. Rev. Mark Braddom officiating. Family and friends will meet at Oak Ridge Memorial Park at 2:15 pm Monday for the interment.
