Mary E. Hinton, age 83, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on, January 9, 2022. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by parents John Ernest Lee and Mary Edith Lee and husband Robert Joseph Hinton Sr.. Ernestine is survived by children Robert J. (Kim) Hinton Jr. and John Carl (Jennifer) Hinton; grandchildren Robert J. ( Rebekah) Hinton III, Victoria Hinton, AnWhitney Hinton, and John Hinton Jr.; great-grandchild Theodora "Teddi" Mercy Hinton; brother Robert E. (Camilla) Lee and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Amedysis for the care they provided Ernestine, especially, Brianna, Lori, and Miranda. In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to be made to St. Jude or any other local children's charity.
