Mikai "Kai" James McMurren, age 18, of Strawberry Plains, TN was called home Saturday, May 7, 2022. after a long battle with diabetes. His passion in life was riding and caring for his horses. Kai was a natural horseman that he was able to ride any discipline or jump on any horse. He was happiest when he was barrel racing.
He was preceded in death by his Nana, Nancy White.
Kai is survived by his parents, Brian and Meredith Weber; sister, Alexis Santilla; grandparents, Virginia Borner, Joe Carroll, Chuck and Sandy Weber, Patricia Towsley; horses, Daisy, Tai, Belle and his dogs, Rocky, Lacie and Three.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 16, 2022 between the hours of 5:00pm until 8:00pm in the chapel of McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37924
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Kai's favorite saddle club, Bays Mountain Saddle Club, Inc., P.O. Box 1204 Seymour, TN 37865.
