Mintie Patricia Kelsey, age 78, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on August 10, 2025, at UAB Medical West in Bessemer, Alabama.

Patricia worked for the Richmond County Board of Education for 28 years as a secretary and bookkeeper. She also spent several years as a jewelry saleswoman at JCPenney, a job she truly loved. She will be remembered for her kindness, her beautiful smile, and her unwavering love and devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mugar Anderson; mother, Dorothy Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Billy Greiner and Kenneth Allen.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard S. Kelsey, Jr.; daughters, Angel Kennedy (Michael) and Dayna Kelsey; grandchildren, Desiree Kennedy (Taylor Ferguson), Emily Shirley (Blake), and Mikalea Kennedy (Jordan Farmer); and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Ferguson, Hudson Shirley, and Jayden Farmer. She is also survived by her sisters, Jean Greiner and Anita Allen; six nephews; two nieces; and their children.

The family will have a luncheon on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Blythe Baptist Church, 210 County Line Road, Blythe, Georgia 30805. A service will follow at 1:00 PM.
