

Nancy Louise (Hecathorn) Nolan, age 83, of Sevierville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2016. Nancy was born in Miamisburg, Ohio, where she graduated from Bellefontaine High School. She met Bud in Bellefontaine and they married 65 ago on June 3, 1951. After working in Bellefontaine and raising a family, Nancy and Bud moved to Athens, Tennessee where she was a nursing home administrator at Athens Convalescent Home. The family moved several times, eventually returning to Ohio where Nancy became an administrator at Allen County Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio. She was active in the United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and served with the Wives’ of Satan’s Angels Drum and Bugle Corps in Bellefontaine, Ohio. While living in Knoxville, Nancy had fun running a ceramic holiday shop out of their garage. After retirement to Tennessee and they established a home in Sevierville, where Nancy assisted Bud in establishing the Non-Profit Knoxville Co Ed Recreational Softball League which plays regularly during the Spring and Summer seasons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Harold Hecathorn. Survived by husband, Marion (Bud) Nolan; daughters and sons–in-law, Cindy and Ron Dickson of Glendale, Alabama; and Debi Stovall of Seymour, Tennessee; Doug Nolan of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (Peggy) and Ray Knapp of Beverly Hills, Florida; grandson, Michael and wife, Lee Melton of Seymour, Tennessee; granddaughter, Laci Delozier of Niota, Tennessee; great-granddaughters, Paige Melton and Taylor Thomas; and great-grandson, Dylan Delozier. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway for an 11:30am graveside service with Rev. Dan Moore, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, Gatlinburg, Tennessee officiating. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox Senior Co Ed Recreational Softball League.
