Nancy Carol "Ann" Simpson, age 70, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. Nancy was a member of Burnetts Creek Baptist Church. She was fun loving; enjoying her iris garden, quilting for her granddaughters and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by parents, Earl Howard Lawson and Helen Sampler Lawson; husband, Jack James Simpson. Survived by daughters, Melissa Henderson, Angela Whaley and husband David Whaley; sons, Mike Simpson and wife Terri, Earl Simpson; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and was expecting the arrival of 3 additional great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Charlotte Bright, Erlene Watson, Jerry and Bill Lawson. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway with a funeral service following at 7:00pm. Rev. Donny Walker and Rev. Jimmy Miller will officiate. Graveside service will by Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10:00am, Marble Hill Cemetery off Riverside Drive.
