

Nancy graduated from Young High School in 1957. She went on to attend nursing school and later worked in retail for many years with JCPenney, Classy Lady, Proffits, Belk and Dillard’s, where she was well known as a fashion and fragrance specialist. Nancy was a gifted poet and generous woman who touched many lives with her kindness.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Douglas Williams; G.S. "Smokey" Webb; Jim Ballenger; her son, Robert Stanton Webb; and her parents, Robert Edward Lee and Roberta Smith Porter.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Paula Tate (Sam) and Sherrie Webb; grandchildren, Jason Tate (Kathy), Michael Tate (Kate), Madison Brott (Benjamin), Rebekah Tate, and Andrew Webb-Buffington; great-grandchildren, Julissa and Jalynn Tate, and Maxine Brott; sisters, Carolyn Wilkins and Bobbi Jo Maher; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church Chapel beginning at 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Clay Harrington officiating. Graveside service will be private.
