I’m honored to have known Orvid.  He lived his life in a very positive way, and he had a smile on his face nearly all the time.  He had a deep appreciation for South Knoxville history, and we shared many an afternoon riding the backroads of Knox and the surrounding counties.

He adored his wife, Marie, and he did such a great job of caring for her in her final days.  He missed her greatly, but he carried on with his life, finding enjoyment in the simple things.

He had a multitude of great friends, especially Mike Rule, whose father was also friends with Orvid and Marie.  Indeed, Orvid lived a rich life.
