Owen Daniel Moore III was born on September 13, 1964 in Knoxville TN at Fort Sanders Hospital. All of us who have known and loved him called him “Danny”. He was a long-term resident of Louisville TN who attended Pellissippi State Community College and received a certificate in Automotive Body Repair/Paint. Danny ran his own paint and body shop in Knoxville TN for over ten (10) years.
Like all of us do, Danny lived, loved, struggled and died. On October 26th 2018 Danny’s struggle ended, he left behind a loving mother and father, two loving sisters, and a large family of niece’s, nephews, relatives and friends. Danny’s struggles, while difficult, didn’t define him. Danny struggled with a learning disability all his life, but if you ever discussed politics, science or history with him you would have never known it. Danny particularly loved history. His low, raspy voice would belt out any number of facts and figures on a wide range of historical topics. If you ever challenged him, be careful, he was better than most at keeping his facts straight. Danny was a true animal lover who shared his home with a number of stray dogs and cats. In the early 1990’s Danny found a baby deer yelping in his front yard (his mother presumably shot by hunters). He fed the fawn milk and cared for it until the fawn was strong enough to make its own way. Memories past are all we have of Danny now. We as his family choose to remember those good moments in time with Danny. Those times of laughing, happiness and fun. Danny… we will miss you.
Memories of You
Think from the current to the past
of memory’s long ago,
Of all the good times that we had,
of memories saved to last.
Some memories bring a grin or smile,
some broken, torn and sad,
Like when you lose a loved one,
a friend through good and bad.
Memories last a lifetime,
They’re imprisoned in your heart,
Shy away from the sad ones,
let the good ones play their part.
In remembering the time that passed,
The times that made us laugh.
My memories dwell on good times with you,
As I do my daily tasks.
