Patricia "Darlene" Hancock

Patricia "Darlene" Hancock, age 69, of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Darlene was a 1972 graduate of Carter High School. She was a longtime member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church. She was an avid VOL fan, lover of all animals, and wonderful piano player. Her grandchildren were her world; she "loved them to the moon and back."

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael Hancock; parents, Bryan and Mary Drinnen; brother, Bryan Drinnen; and grandmother, Maggie Glenn.

She is survived by her son, Keith Hancock (Kimberly); daughter, Kristin Hancock (Jeremy Brackins); grandchildren: Tyler, Tanner, Kaydence, and Kambria; special nephews: Bryan (Alex) and Chris Drinnen (Kaitlyn); very special niece, Jenna Drinnen; lifelong friends, Mike and Brenda Glenn; several great-nephews and nieces; and companion dog, Trooper.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2024 at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37924, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM for a 2:00 PM interment Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Pollard Cemetery.
