Peggy Marlene (Wilson) Green, 68, was born May 25, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, and passed away March 18, 2026 after spending her life in Knoxville, TN. Peggy was selfless, thoughtful, patient, and resilient, and her life reflected a steady devotion to those she loved. She will be missed by all who knew her and were touched by her love and kindness.
Peggy attended Carter High School. Peggy was a devoted grandmother and caregiver, and she loved taking care of family—especially her mother.
Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Albert Lee Green Jr.; her father, JC Wilson (Gladys Louise); her step-father, Carl King; her husband, Robert Smith; and her grandparents, Jasper Wilson (Dolly) and Charlie Maples (Clara).
Peggy is survived by her son, Jeremy Green; her granddaughters, Raquel Green and Jesslynn Green; her grandson, Zachary Green; her great granddaughter, Anastyn Green; her great grandson, Jackson Green; her mother, Kathryn Wilson; her sister, Terry McCroskey (Shadrick); her brothers, Ricky Wilson (Doris), and Michael Wilson; her ex-husband, Albert Green and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Magnolia Chapel at Berry Highland South, 9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 pm. Service will be officiated by Robert (Buddy) Garland.
