Peggy Sharpe

SHARPE, PEGGY JOYCE (CLOUD) - 78, of Knoxville passed away at Briarcliff Nursing Facility on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 4:30 pm. Peggy was a long time member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was also in the Order of the Eastern Star where she had held many officers positions throughout the years. She was retired from the US Postal Service after 20 years of service. Peggy leaves behind 3 children, William Avery Sharpe of Rhode Island, Cheryl and Fancois Girard of Knoxville, and Harold (Chuck) McClain Sharpe, Jr. and Connie Sharpe of Clinton; 3 grandchildren Marie Ward, Daniel Sharpe and Michael Sharpe; 2 great grandchildren Joshua Logan Ward and Parker Jackson Green; sister Kathleen and Troy Hinton, sisters-in-law Chris Cloud and Jewell Cloud. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Harold M. Sharpe, Sr.; her parents William and Emma Cloud; brothers Boyd and Mary Nell Cloud, Leroy and Betty Cloud, Ralph (Sonny) Cloud and Paul Cloud. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Weaver Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating.
