

Phillip “Rondy” Proffitt, age 69, of Knoxville, passed away Monday January 1, 2018 at his home. Phillip was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of First Apostolic Church in Maryville. He was a die-hard Tennessee Vols fan, who enjoyed gospel and country music, studying his bible and preaching when he was able. Preceded in death by parents, Troy John and Ruby Rosalee Mullins Proffitt and son Reginald Proffitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Pamela Proffitt; sons Phillip Proffitt, Jr., Michael C. Moneymaker and Brian S. Moneymaker; one daughter, Missy Moore; brother, Don Proffitt and one sister Mary Lou Kitchens. Additionally he is survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Kenny Carpenter officiating.
