Phyllis Ann Maples, age 66, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Phyllis was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith, loved to crochet, and loved spending time with her family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Underwood; son, Ross Maples; and mother-in-law, Jeanette Maples. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Ed Maples; father, Ted Underwood; father-in-law, Bob Maples; 4 children, Richard Lambert, Pamela Lambert (Donnie Ion), John (Chelsey) Lambert and Anitra (Corey) Jackson; 8 grandchildren, Daden, Mersadez, Adrianna, Xandra, McKinleigh, Kindyll, Landreigh and Stallone; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kairo, River and Dakoldist.
A special thank you to all of the staff at UT Medical Center for helping us through this very difficult period in Phyllis' life.
