Matlock, Ralph William, age 88 of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully at his home the morning of Monday, December 24, 2018. Ralph was born and resided in Knoxville, TN during his adult life. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and after his return worked at Bellsouth Telephone until retirement and began Ralph Matlock Residential Construction Co. for 25 years. Preceded in death by wife, Patsy G. Smith; parents, Cecil and Ruby Matlock; brother, Carl Matlock and wife Bobby; niece, Diane Carroll Gee. Survived by his children, Vicki Matlock Gasparich, and husband Joe of Greenville, SC, Michael Matlock and wife Sandy of Powder Springs, GA, Mark Matlock and wife Dawn, of Knoxville, TN; niece, Donna Matlock, Knoxville, TN; nephew, Steve Matlock, Louisville, TN; nephew, Ray Matlock, Knoxville, TN; niece, Melissa Matlock, Kingsport, TN; niece, Pattie Carroll; nephew, Ryan Jackson; grandchildren, Jessica Snedigar, Matthew Matlock and wife Anna; great-grandchildren, Noah, Dylan Matlock, Rachel Matlock and McKenzie Matlock. A very special thank you to the wonderful neighbors, Chuck, Debbie, Mike, Terrell and Katlin that will forever be a part of the Matlock family. A very special thank you to our dearest caregivers, Wendi and Hannah over the past months for being very special loving people. Family will receive friends at Weaver Funeral Home, Friday from 5-7 pm with the service to follow at 7pm.
