Raymond (Bates) Smith age 59 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday February, 10, 2021. He was a member of Northstar Church in West Knoxville. Bates was an avid sports fan and loved the Vols. Bates was loved by his family, friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by parents, Billy and Mildred Smith. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pam (Pease) Smith; children, Ben Smith and Molly Smith; brothers, Bill (Krissie) Smith and Steve (Tammy) Smith; special mother-in-law, Mickey Pease and brother-in-law, Brian Pease and several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
