Rick Donald Harris

Harris, Rickey Donald “Rick”, age 50, of Knoxville, formerly of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away on Saturday February 13, 2010 at his home. Rick was born in Prestonsburg, KY to Walter Lenvil “Buddy” and Monica Jo Lafferty Harris on July 21st, 1959. He was a heavy equipment operator for Local 324 of Detroit, MI and worked many years for Basil Construction in Livonia, MI before moving to Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Rex Lenvil Harris. Survivors include: the love of his life Karen Childers Harris; 2 daughters: Kristyn Yvonne Harris and Elizabeth Jo Harris; 2 grandchildren: Alexia Jade Harris and Evan Alexander Harris whom Poppy loved so much; 2 brothers: Billy (Carla) Johnson of Sydney OH, and George (Kim) Johnson of Hanging Rock, OH; father-in-law Tom Childers of Higgins Lake, MI; special uncle Frank and Aunt Bonnie Goble of Ypsilanti, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
