

Robert Larry Davis Sr., 78, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. He was born on June 5, 1947, he was a true South Knox-villian through and through, Vestal was his home. Robert was a quiet, simple man who found joy in life's steady pleasures. He truly loved his job and took pride in the work he did every day. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. When he wasn't working, you could find him with a fishing rod in hand, tinkering with his lawn mowers, or showing off his skills at the pool table—he was an amazing player who rarely missed a shot. Robert was also a loyal viewer of WBIR Channel 10 News, never missing his evening broadcast. Since 1975, he has mourned the passing of his beloved wife Marjorie, and now he has finally been reunited in eternal love with her, and will be laid to rest at her feet.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Davis; his parents, Cliff, and June Davis; sisters Mary Garren and Wilma Free; brother Phil Davis; nephew Bobby Garren and Jimmy Brogan; niece Malisa White; and close friends Pete and Jimmy Byrd, and Eddie Stevens.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Leslie) Davis Jr. and Katrina Davis; brother Ronnie Davis; and sisters Ollie Davis and Carol Davis, and a host of grandchildren whom he loved dearly, and special friend of 19 years Nancy Tucker.
Family and friends will gather to honor the legacy of Robert on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. Family and friends will gather for a committal service at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN, on November 19, 2025, at 11:00 am, Roy Caughorn to officiate the services.
