

leaves his loving wife of 44 years, Peggy Slavin Ford, sons Brian and David, David’s wife Kathy Ford, and his grandsons Ethan, Preston and Lucas who were the absolute center of Ron’s universe. His mother Katherine Cloud Ford, brothers Ed Ford and wife Janet, Terry Ford and wife Sharon, and sister Teresa Wyrick and husband Mark. He is also survived by all of his New Jersey in-laws who loved him dearly. Ron proudly served in the US Navy from 1969-1973. He then worked as a construction superintendent until retirement. After leaving construction he attended the UT Culinary School where he pursued a new passion in providing loved ones with his culinary creations. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Friday June 9, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home on Western Avenue. A Catholic requiem mass will also be held at noon on Saturday June 10, 2017 at the side alter of Holy Ghost Church on Baxter Avenue for anyone interested in attending.
