R.C was a master plumber who started with Howard & Howard Plumbing, went to Economy Plumbing and then retired as a Lead Foreman at Schoffner. He also worked for a brief time at Matsushita Electric. R.C was a lifelong musician that loved to play guitar and sing with his family and friends. He was one half of the "Jett Brothers" along with his brother Gordon. He loved to spend time fishing at the lake and the creek with his favorite fishing buddy, his grandson, Kevin Jinks. He loved attending church with his loving wife Maudene at Grace Baptist Church in Seymour. He sang many services there. R.C was a loving husband, father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rondow Claiborne Jett Sr. and Augusta Lillian Jett; first wife Peggy Lee Jett; son Marty Ray Jett; siblings James Jett, Adrian Jett, Anna Mary Smith, Gordon Jett and Charles Jett and brothers-in-law Tom Smith and Frank Brown.
R.C is survived by his wife of 25 years Maudene Westbrook Jett; children Dreama (William) Doane, Tonya (Steve) Jinks, Rondow (Diane Goetz) Jett III, Angelia (Gary) Capps and Sherry (Bob) Welbes; 14 grandchildren; 25 precious great-grandchildren; sisters Doris Brown, Donna, (Ronnie) Suddarth; brother Gary Jett; sisters-in-law Carrie Lou Jett, Lucy Jett, Glenda Jett and many precious nieces and nephews.
The family welcomes friends for a Visitation on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 4pm-7pm with a Funeral Service at 7pm, at Grace Baptist Church of Seymour, 113 Smothers Rd, Seymour, TN 37865. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland South Cemetery on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in the Garden of Gospels at 2:45pm for a 3pm Graveside Service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sevierville Animal Care Center.
