

Ruth Marie Brown Fox, a longtime South Knoxville resident died on Friday, February 17, 2017. She was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest M. Brown of Sevier County and Mary Alice Edgemon Brown of McMinn County, and her brother, Edgemon M. Brown of North Palm Beach, Florida. She is survived by her sons, David H. Fox and Cheryl of Spotsylvania, Virginia; Richard T. Fox and Ralph R. Cianelli of Knoxville, Tennessee; and James M. Fox and Beth Hunt of Knoxville; grandchildren: Tech Sgt. Dana R. Fox of Abilene, Texas; Jennifer Fuller of Nolensville, Tennessee; a very special grandson, Jonathan M. Fox, of Knoxville; Taylor S. Fox of Wilmington, North Carolina; Logan S. Fox of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and Dylan J. Fox of Spotsylvania, Virginia; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Caryl Brown of North Palm Beach, Florida; a special cousin, Dudley and Pat Edgemon of Sterling, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Daniel Ogle officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 1:30 PM for the committal service.
