Sandra Kay (Whaley) O'Mary

Sandra Kay Whaley O’Mary, 66, of Knoxville went to sleep and peacefully woke up in Heaven with Jesus on Friday, September 12, 2025. Sandra prayed to receive Christ as a young girl at Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Maryville, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Heritage High School class of 1978. She loved the music of the Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandra was proceeded in death by devoted parents, Rev. Sanders and Della Whaley; grandparents, Alvin and Bessie Whaley and McKinley and Virgie Maples.

She is survived by husband of 30 years, Anthony O’Mary; loving daughters, Kristen (Chris) Billhardt, Kellie (J) Martin, Katie (Jesus) Vasconcelos; 7 special grandchildren, Emily, Jackie, Eulalia, Roberto, Jesus Jr., Elizabeth and Cattleya; caring sister Karen (Danny) Roberts; nephew, Matthew (Katelyn) Roberts and niece, Miriam (Tyler) Smith; 3 great nephews and 1 great niece;

Aunts, Beulah Purkey, Delores Maples, Pat Maples and Linda Whaley; and many cherished cousins.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following at Berry Highland South Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel. Family and friends will gather Monday, September 29, 2025 at 2:45PM for a 3:00PM graveside service in the Garden of the Three Crosses at Berry Highland South Cemetery, 9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920. Services will be officiated by Reverend Jeff Davis.
