Sara Martha Davis

Sara Martha Davis, age 83 of Knoxville, passed away January 31, 2015. She was born on March 26, 1931 to the late James and Selma Emmert Davis. Ms. Davis worked at Miller’s Department Store and then retired from Hess’ Department store. She was a member of Hendron’s Chapel United Methodist Church and loved to quilt, sew, crochet, work in the garden and was the best cook. Ms. Davis is survived by: daughters, Pam (John) Cooley, and Rene Davis; grandchildren, Tyler Cooley and Carrie (Dan) Tydingco; great-grandchildren, Lily and Jackson Tydingco; sister, Delores Brausch; brother, Jerry Davis; and several nieces and nephews, with special nephew, Charles Roulette. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by; her loving husband of 54 years, Fred L. Davis; brothers, Hubert and Fred Davis; and a sister, Marie Roulette. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 1p.m. in the Berry Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 11a.m. Graveside services will follow in the Berry Highland South Cemetery at 3p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Knoxville-Knox County CAC, Senior Nutrition Program, PO Box 51650, Knoxville, TN 37950-1650.
