Saweuyer Randolph Parks, age 91 went home to his eternal rest on August 17, 2016 in Knoxville, TN after a prolong illness. He was the youngest son of the late Florence Marie (nee Miller) and John Mervin Parks. He is a former employee of Brown’s Restaurant; K-Trans; and KUB, retiring after 38-years of service in July 1994.
He is preceded in death by his siblings (John) Marshall, Margaret, Laura, Eli, June, and Sarah.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his loving wife of 68-years Ora L Parks; Sons: Ibn Orandy (Deborah) Saweuyer-Parks, Simpsonville, SC and Maurice Randolph (Regina) Parks, Knoxville, TN; Grandchildren: Talib Baah, Sherrome L. (Clarissa Davis [Fiancée]) Parks, and Gregory Maurice-Saweuyer Parks, all of Knoxville, TN; Sister: Ruth Dixson, Middletown, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other friends and relatives.
Services will be held at the Berry Highland Mortuary – South on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 beginning with receiving of friends at 12:30 p.m., followed by Home Going services, at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow. www.berryhighlandsouth.com
