Scott Allan Humphrey - age 58 of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his friends. He was born and raised in Ohio and was an avid Ohio State fan. Scott served in the US Army with several tours to Afghanistan and received the Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He loved serving his country and serving others. For many years, Scott helped to serve meals to the homeless community in Knoxville. He served with the Brown Bag Ministry at Krutch Park, Angelic Ministries, Highways and Byways, CareCuts, and Water Angels. He would also assist the homeless with moving furniture after acquiring housing and would deliver meals and food boxes to many shut-ins in the Knoxville area. He was very talented with his ability to use power tools that would create a beautiful end product no matter the size or challenge. He was very instrumental and completed a lot of the work in the remodeling of both Magnolia and Vestal United Methodist Churches in Knoxville. Scott loved his Lord and Savior and would always share that he was ready to go fishing with Jesus when he was called home. He attended church regularly with his friends. His favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
