Theda Juanita Covington

Juanita "Bird" Covington, age 74, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at home. She had worked for Ray and Dawn Brown at the Shell station on Strawberry Plains Pike and was very fond of them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Covington; mother, Nettie West; sisters Liz Brown and Helen Hopper. Juanita is survived by her son Danny and wife Lisa Covington; daughter, Kimberly Covington and fiancee Kevin Hunt; son, James Covington; and son Benny and wife Kelly Covington; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister, Eve Irwin; many other family members and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Pollard's Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, Asheville Highway. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com
