A man of many gifts and a heart full of compassion, he touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born with music in his soul, Tom was a gifted pianist whose fingers danced across the keys with grace and emotion. His love for music brought joy to many and was a defining rhythm in the story of his life.
He proudly served our country in the United States Navy, a time of duty and honor that he held close to his heart. Tom was also known for his unwavering devotion to his family, a loving father, pepaw and brother who cherished time spent with those he loved most.
A lifelong dog lover, Tom had a unique bond with animals—truly a dog whisperer. His gentle nature made him a favorite of both people and pets.
And anyone who knew Tom knew he would have a cold Dr. Pepper in hand—his favorite drink and one of the many little joys he embraced with a smile. Tom will be remembered for his kindness, his talent, his service, and the deep love he gave so freely.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Julia Mays (Michael); grandson, Brandon Mays; sister, Sue Hall (Rocky); brothers: Rick Ford, Dean Ford, Ernie Ford (Rhonda); and many family and friends, both two- and four-legged, who will miss him dearly.
